Until now my 2012 album 'All Was Numbered' has only available on download but it is at last also out as a CD on Peter Hook's Hacienda label with cover and booklet design by Chris McMinn and Jim Tetlow featuring full credits and lyrics and liner notes by Paul Morley. Paul's involvement comes about because of his asking me to write a song especially for his 2011 Southbank Meltdown Festival tribute show to Tony Wilson. The 'song' became 3 songs and then 7 and formed the material for this album. These songs use my era on Factory Records as their inspiration and they include my elergies for Tony Wilson and Section 25's Larry Cassidy. There are guest appearances by Mark 'Flash' Haynes, Chris Conway, David Dhonau, Camilla Kent (soon to be seen on 'The X Factor' 2014), Sally Barker (Runner up of BBC's 'The Voice'), John Butler (Diesel Park West), Mr Plow, Kenton Hall (ist), Gem, Dan White, Martha Bean and Adam Ellis who also engineered and co-produced the whole package with me. There is an additonal uncredited track, a 2014 radio edit for 'Now Is Then'. The album can be purchased on this site via Paypal, Bandcamp and as a download from Hacienda Records or iTunes.

My first 'proper' show of 2014, in Leicester of course, (following an informal appearence at The Musician on January 6th playing ISLINGTON STREET and AMERICANTA). The Criterion is deep in the Hewick DNA, my 'Royal Albert Hall', that little bar is perhaps the only place on earth where I can do the 'real' Kevin Hewick show in full length and range of expression. Everything was right for this night, a modest crowd but responsive, really listening and interacting, and Malc Randall on the sound, also my 'official heckler'. Among those present were John Butler of Diesel Park West, Sally Barker (fresh from her magnicently moving appearance on 'The Voice'), Dillon Wakeford, Glyn Allen, Dave Dixey (whose label Sorted Records released 'Helpline' in the 90s), Jock Kerry of The Freed Unit, Sean Tizzard, Peter Flack, Paul Carden, Debra Gale and my dad who seemed to really enjoy himself, 80 next month and not out! I think this one was a classic, everything from Bob Marleys tomb to the 'Winky-Wanky Bird' was discussed and I did a good range from the Hewick songbook, from Factory Records days to the present. It did my a favour, a sense of getting an overview of my work. Something written decades ago can resonate as much as something written days ago and vice-versa. I feel like my musical 2014 really came alive with this performance. It was the first time I ever did 'ANOTHER JERUSALEM' in it's 12 odd minute entirity, I've only ever played extracts or earlier versions minus lyrics added late on in the recording of 'The Heat Of Molten Diamonds' .. I even got called back for an encore and request for PLENTY, that was just great..
